Company history

Expekt.com Limited was founded in London in 1999, by Christian Haupt and Conny Gesar. The founders of Expekt.com have experience from Financial Business and IT areas. The site was launched in English and Swedish and the sports betting business was ran from London till November in 2000, when the office at Malta was opened. Today Expekt.com holds a betting license in the UK, Austria and Malta.

The year 2000 was characterised by mega growth in both customer base and turnover. During the year many new features were added, as well as new types of betting. The offer was extended from about 100 events per week to between 700 and 1.000 odds and triples and doubles disappeared in favour of singles on all events. Expekt.com 's payback of winnings also rose to over 90% of the stakes, a level that is held today. During the year the turnover raised month by month with between 40 and 70%. The growth percentage stayed on those levels also during the year 2001 and 2002.

Expekt.com quickly took the position as the leading online bookmaker in Scandinavia and now experience the same growth in the other markets. Today the site is introduced in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey and in Asia in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia.
